A question. My F-15 should be here this week. The way my room is configured, I only have one power outlet behind the entertainment center where all my gear is. My Monster Power HTX3600 MK II power center gizmo is plugged into one of the receptacles and TV, BR, cable box, M&K sub, and receiver run thru it. My XPA-5 is plugged into the other receptacle as it is required to run it directly plugged into the wall. Should the F-15 be plugged into the power center or the wall directly? If it needs to be into the wall, then that will require a minimum 30 foot RCA cable run to the sub (it does not have XLRs nor does my receiver. Brian had indicated that I shouldn't use a longer run than 15' for the RCA cable. Any input? Thanks folks. I posted this on diff forum as well but I know that there are a number of you here that run Rythmiks.

It has a max draw of 750W (per the writing on the amp) so you need to determine if that additional draw is too much for your distribution unit - that said, that would be max and probably 300W would be a more reasonable figure to use I think.
The wall is likely the best option, but if as you say it will be a problem, are you adding the F15 to the M&K? If swapping it you, will probably be fine using the power unit.

Going to experiment with running both initially. I will ck the power distribution on the power center. Got another recommendation to use an aperion home audio link to send the signal wirelessly to subwoofer from the receiver. ANyone know if this works well? Signal loss degradation issues using wireless?

There is another thread about wireless sub connections I think.

How much longer than 15 feet is your run? I am using over 20 foot RCA with no problems at all.....as a matter of fact, it is actually 2 RCAs spliced via a double female RCA plug to get me the length I need.

25-35 feet. I have to run out of the back of the avr, into and up the wall, 10 feet through the attic crossing over a hallway opening, back down the wall and out to the sub. My room layout stinks and the guy that built the place only put one electrical outlet per wall with the exception of the back wall that is about 15 feet long.

There is another thread about wireless sub connections I think. Mentioned in it's own thread, this might be worth consideration, but I wouldn't really be afraid of a long RCA run if you have to.

I highly recommend a cable made from Belden 1505a or 1694a coax or buying one from here www.bluejeanscable.com/store/subwoofer/index.htm

FWIW, I'm running my sub over a 30 foot coax cable without any problems. Currently the sub output is split to the sub and the Buttkicker. I plan on getting an XLR->RCA connector so the sub can be connected to the XLR output on the UMC-1.
