.... and now for something completely different. How about a thread about Emo gear?
I'm gettin' the shakes, haven't spent anything on audio in too long, the sweats are starting now too...
Mebbe a little update on the new UMC remote for the audio addicts? A peek at the button layout, or perhaps just it's weight?
C'mon man - I neeeeed somethin' ;D

C'mon man - I neeeeed somethin' ;D The last word I heard on the new remote control for the UMC-1 is that it will ship in early March. The big Question is does "ship" mean from China or from Franklin, TN. What little that has been revealed is that it will be one of the "aluminum brick" remotes; it will have eight direct input buttons; it will have a Dolby Volume button; and, I think something was said about adding a button for changing video resolution. So we know it will be big, heavy and built like a tank. Or was that capable of stopping a tank. lol If I am reading between the lines correctly, it will not have back-lighting and will not be programmable. I am guessing it will be very similar to the ERC-1's remote control. I suspect this will be a very popular option for those who don't like plastic remotes. ;D

Guess I should sharpen my searching skills - for the life of me I couldn't find that info myself. Dunno if I'm a plastic remote hater - more of a brick-remote admirer I think. The ERC-1 remote is great, I'll be so glad when it has a sibling to share the end table with.
