Just curious to know the exact Cirrus chip used in UMC-1? Some said CS497004 and some said CS42518. If I am correct in remembering, the CS42518 is also used in Marantz AV amp- which is the reason for good music? The CS49704 is used in Cary AV pre-amp. I only concern with Movie sound as I have separate gears for music.

CS497004 = audio "decoding" chip
CS42518 = DAC
Both are from Cirrus and both are in the UMC-1, but they do completely different things...

CS497004 and CSDV8 are the decoders. The 42518 is the DAC. So there are 2) decoder chips and the one DAC

Thanks for the clarification.
In UMC-1 product page, does "Twin Cirrus32 bit dual core DSP’s " means two CS497004? And how many CS42518 DAC are used inside UMC-1?
