I'm looking for a 3" port plug. Am i better off just using a sock? Any ideas on where to get a port plug or substitute

You could go to a hobby or fabric store and get some high density foam.

Yeap for SVS, but 9 dollars for a port plug when a sock can be equally effective and SVS's port plug is 5 + 8 shipping. I'll look into getting some high density foam. Any one else use that before? I guess it doesn't really matter, but it sort of irks me to fathom having a sock in my sub.

More subs?! I'm trying to offload one right now! But yeah, in a 14x13ish room, three subs seems plenty so far.
I'd be interested if someone has an extra port plug lying around, since most people only use one.
