Hi, Is there any difference between say a full range sub signal versus 120hz cuts off sub signal, if the subfrequency is set to 80hz? thanks

If you have a bult in crossover in the sub set to 80hz, the no. The sub will only play information below 80hz not matter what you put in.

What i meant is, is there any difference sonically between a Sub signal that is full range versus the other that is 120HZ low pass into a active subwoofer with a frequency crossver set to 80HZ. Is this easier to undertand? hehehe... i think i got my answer thanks Jraffety. Feel free to commnet guys.
