If so, has anyone had any hands on experience with them?
SQ? Do we know anything about how they hold up in good ol Pacific Northwest? ;D I'm willing to entertain alternatives as well. Just wanted to see what people thought of them.
I also would like to know how they would get mounted to a wood beam on the side of the house. What's the mounting mechanism?

I have a pair of UOM-6.2 speakers that I mounted on our patio wall a few days ago. There is a mounting bracket that screws to the wall and the speakers swivels on this with a threaded knob on each end.
They are able to reproduce more bass than I was expecting. When I first listened to them I thought the highs were a little subdued. A few days of listening the highs seem to be more obvious. If my zone 2 had a treble control I would probably boost it a small amount. Overall the SQ is good and can be loud enough to fill our yard and annoy the nieghbours.
If you look in the speaker review threads you will see more there.
Dave.
