Hello fellow posters, I'm a new forum member here at Emotiva and am currently awaiting dual U12's that should be arriving friday. I'll be sure to update this thread with details of my setup and a review of my experiences of these units in both HT and music.
Once again, it's good to be here, and am looking forward to chatting with fellow Emo owners.

Right on man, thanks. Are you using them mostly for music, HT, or both?

Both right now.. The intent was to use them for HT, but I find if I cross them over at 50hz and run them really low volume, they provide a nice tight low bass to supplment my B&W 804s for music too.

I am using these for music and movies as well, and I also have B&W speakers. I must say these subs blend very nicely with them. The output is tight, very musical, and seemingly accurate. Just as an experiment, I flipped them off while listening to music with my GF and she was shocked to see how little bass was actually coming from the B&Ws...quite frankly, so was I. ;D These subs are an excellent choice for music and you shouldn't have any issue blending them with your main set of speakers.

Right on guys, good to hear these are being implemented in both ht and music environments.
Those of you running dual setups, are you just running a Y from the lfe sub out to each sub?

Ladies but mostly Gentlemen.....I give you.....Dual Ultra 12's....BOOM....Ok relax I'm not gonna be that dramatic for the rest of the post, but oh my god. Anyone who still has doubts, do yourself a favor and pull a quick trigger because these subs are making my hair stand up on end. Just finished giving the first quick EQ job. I have the crossover at 60hz on the Yamaha rx-v2400, running out of the LFE sub output into a Y then to a couple of Emo X RCA cables into the subs. I already had the system setup for the room as far as the mains and center, but including the subs in the mix proved to be effortless. A quick level adjust to about 11 o'clock and I was in sonic heaven. They blended amongst the company of the 9.6's and the room so beautifully. These easily compare the PB12-NSD, which my buddy has, and the Velodyne offerings which I've stood in front of many a times in listening rooms. I popped in Carole King and James Taylor- Live at the Troubadour. Closed my eyes and it was like I was standing on the wooden floor of this old classic venue (which I've performed at before ). It almost brought a tear the bass was so tight and musical. Any doubts I may have had faded out and in came clean low end. The B' Note cuts through like a weapon, the bass drum snap kicks my chest. Thank you Emotiva for such a great value, and wonderful listening experience. Ok so the live audio out of a standard cd sounded killer. I wanted to get a quick taste of HT Cinema before I got to carried away in revisiting my music collection. To give everyone a reminder I haven't yet implemented surrounds yet, so its just the Wharf Mains, a nice Energy center, and of course the subs. In goes Saving Private Ryan Blu-ray. Straight to the final battle scene I was immidiately thrown back in my couch as explosions rang out followed by a sonic boom of house collapsing low end. It sounded as if I was standing in the middle of the sh** as it went down. The panzer crushed over the terrain and through my living room wall. I mean I had to go grab my uncle who lives next door, and the first thing that came out of his mouth was "Holy sh**, It's like I'm at the damn theater!" Ok, I'll have more for everyone tomorrow when I actually run a sine sweep cd and test the freqs with the spl meter, but so far SOOO GOOD! ;D ;D

Great review headcheesebbq ive bee contemplating 2 subs vs. 1. Wasn't sure if it would make a huge difference for home theater, I think I may add another. My single 15 hits hard, but I would like to place one in front/back or both sides of my back walls just to see how it sounds.

Thanks, I'm glad you've enjoyed the review so far.
The dual setup is very much worth it. I've have them placed to the left and right of my mains and the setup sounds truly phenomenal. Even my girlfriend was amazed when she came home last night, and she never cares about audio! ;D
