Hello,
I am new to the forum and heard about Emotiva from a neighbor. Recently my Klipsch RW-12 sub amp died and I would like to replace it with an Ultra Sub.
Now for the question, Do you purchase two of the Ultra 10's for less than one Ultra 12? Both are approximatley $600. I will use the system solely as a designated theater room and run Klipsch RB 81's, Klipsch Center, and 8" Klipsch in walls for surrounds. I am on the list for the UMC-1 and XPA-5 when both are availalbe. My AV receiver is a Marantz SR7500?
Let me know what the experts think?

Two Ultra Sub 10s will do for you what Jesus did for us when he got crucified on that cross! * That is the most simple and effective way to improve the sound in your room, as it will allow you to balance those hard to balance lower frequencies. Two subs are MUCHO better than just one, and I ain't the only expert that said that either. GO FOR IT WITH TOTAL CONFIDENCE! ...And a warm Welcome to the Emotiva Lounge! --- And for only $578! WoW! ...Time, money & bass (2 subs), is on your side.

Absolutely go with dual U10's. I'm running dual U12's. One U12 sounded great, but with 2 U12's, OMG! So smooth, powerful and fills every inch of the room.

How would I hook up 2 Ultra 10s to a UMC-1?

Just run either an RCA-Y or XLR-Y to both subs.

Or hook one up to XLR and one to RCA. I have two ultra 12's hooked up this way.

My OSD tendancies wouldn't allow for rca+xlr combinations... your better off taking advantage of the xlr connection for both subs imo.
