Question number one. Is the XPA-5 and UPA-7 actually 19" deep and 17" wide (Like the manual says) or 17" deep and 19" wide?
I'm trying to find an audio rack that will hold these beasts, but most racks are 17" deep max that I'm finding...
Question number two. Are rack ears available for the XPA-5 and UPA-7?

Most of the AV racks I've been looking at max out at 19" deep which presents cabling issues. Typically they're about 17" deep...

Yep they are MONSTERS! I ended up cutting a hole in the back of my AV stand so that everything could drape out of the back.

Yup, it can definitely be a problem if you can't find an appropriate rack. Luckily for me, my rack had a removable back panel, so I didn't have to do any cutting.

I don't care if cables hang out the back. The gear needs to breath anyway. It's just that from a visual perspective I don't want the ass-end of the gear AND the wires hanging out. Just to confirm my guesstimation. The XPA-5 and UPA-7 are 4U sized gear?

If you are looking for equipment stands capable of handling the Emotiva gear check out STUDIO TECH. I am using one of their expandable stands and it accomodates all the gear that Emotiva makes. They frequently have sales on their web page that offer lower prices than any of the on-line merchants offer. Good quality stuff at good pricing and easily assembled to match your needs. My brother also got the same equipment stand and has two XPA-1, an MPS-2, XPA-5, XPA-2 and other Emotiva gear on it. That is a lot of weight and the Studio Tech stand handles it all with no trouble. Click on the following link to check them out. www.studiotech.com/Based on previous threads, a lot of Lounge members use the Studio Tech equipment stands. Good luck finding something you like.

It's not bad. This also needs to be something that my wife also approves of in color/build etc. Currently I've been eying a custom-depth cabinet from nice-racks.com (No, it's not a porn site...)
