Hear we go again. Don't you two live pretty close to each other? Go punch each other in the face a few times and shake hands.

Just put out a notice in my local Hifi forum and the 1st person brought my UPA-1. Don't know whether I will regret selling them for upgrading to XPA-1 as the specs are quite similar saved for the output. LOL please not made me regret for I actually quite like the UPA-1. Honestly I prefer the UPA-1's. I feel they have a smoother top end. Plus the price difference between em($1200-1400 roughly)is pretty steep considering the XPA-1's in reality only give you an extra 3-4db of headroom for the $1200 or so spent, which isnt much at all(do you really need that since most amps during normal playback only see 1-2 watts continuous power at most). Both are excellent amps regardless, but the UPA-1's are by far the absolute best bang for the buck for what you get and are my favorite Emotiva offerings. Regardless enjoy either way. Not discussing a particular amp? Whats this? Fried chicken?

Couldn't you have just come into this thread and said to the OP, "great, the XPA-1's are fantastic, they are Emo's statement product of achievement and are considered some of the best amps in the world regardless of price". Nope, not you. Argue and stir the pot..... The XPA-1's are fine products, I did state that(but your blinders are on again because I don't ss kiss like a brown nose bear)quite a few times. And I do feel that the UPA-1's are still EMo's "best bang for the buck" monoblocks. Read and comprehend that properly please. "BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK". As with all products, spending 2,3 times or more money does not equate to getting a product that will give you 2,3 times or more performance. The diminishing returns ideal is in effect here. You spend ALOT more for very little improvement in reality. Its that way for alot of things. Regardless, Emo's current products will not get an endorsement from me though as being some of the best amps in the world regardless of price. Sorry, but Im sure you can find someone else from this board to say otherwise,if thats their feeling.

I'm currently discussing audible differences in amplitude right now..................oh yeah, now I see why your jumping in on this post. You just bought XPA-1's. Well good for you.....................funny though, if my memory serves me correct, quite a few months back I was in a few threads discussing the subtle benefits and improvements in SQ of the XPA-1 monoblocks over the XPA-2. Didn't you give me cr@p in one of those threads if I recall? From reading over some recent posts that would put you back on the hypocrite bandwagon.

Sorry to have cause these uproar, personally I think the differences in the sound warrants the 3x price of UPA-1 besides I'm getting the holiday discounts + Emo bucks.
