Mixing 8 ohm speakers with 4 ohm?

Just wondering, I have a Xpa-5 and I'm curious about if I can use (4) 8 ohm speakers with (1) 4 ohm speaker? I'm thinking it should work because their are (5) independent channels but just want pease of mind first with other members opinions. Also will this put the total power output to 1,100 watts?
