So I too have had several conversations with Lonnie over the past few months about the XPA-1's. For me its more about the dynamics that those amps will provide and we both agree that they will breathe even more life into my Snells than the XPA-2 I'm currently using. My C/V aren't the most efficient speakers (86db), so I'm gonna see what the XPA-1's have to offer.....
So I just got off the phone with Vincent and placed an order for two :-)
Its going to be interesting to A/B the XPA-2 against the XPA-1's. I know the XPA-1's will be more dynamic for sure, but it will be interesting to see how sonically different they are from the XPA-2.
So much for the new subwoofer :-( That will have to wait.....
Merry Xmas to me!! ;D ;D

Congrats! ;D I bet you are gonna LOVE your new amps. I will be looking forward to your impressions, especially vs. the XPA-2.

Listening to good music through the XPA-1s truly is sonic bliss. Dig out your very best media and get ready to have your chin hit the floor. You won't want to break from listening so go a snack ready before you cue up the first cut... especially if you have very good speakers -- instant "cloud nine" time.

You and Paintedklown are driving the rest of us crazy with envy.

The XPA-1's are in whole different league (they are not UPA-1's) and I really have been talking to Lonnie about it since the summer. Hey I love my Porsche, its an awesome car. But If had chance to get a Ferrari - well, thats a no brainer even if it did cost twice as much. Not sure what I'll do with the XPA-2. I might use it for zone 2, we'll see. I really like it - I'm just intoxicated by 500 wpc :-)

Congrats on the twins....you are gonna love them ! I just go mine last week, and I'm really impressed. These things just don't get hot, and I'm driving the s#%t outta them. All the folks @ Emotiva have been incredible.....keep up the good work guys/galz. Currently working with Vince on some issues (not the xpa-1s) and he has been a delight to work with.

Porscheguy, we are for sure going to have to "compare notes". I am always curious as to weather my assessment of gear is the way others view it as well. Congrats again, I wish I had an opportunity to hear the XPA-2 in action. From everything I have read about it, it is the next best thing to getting a pair of XPA-1s. Large power reserves and insane headroom. I actually read a review once where (if I recall correctly) the reviewer said it was the most powerful amplifier he had tested! That should be a fun A/B comparison for you.

I just placed my order for a pair plus some power cords a few hours ago. Hope to hear more about delivery tomorrow. I already have an XPA-5, so this will be nice compliment until I get another XPA-1 and XPA-2 for the remainder of my 5.1 setup.

Hey Porscheguy, Do you have a guesstimate on when you will be receiving your amps? Every time I have ordered from Emotiva, I receive my order on the third day from the ship date. I have mine scheduled to be shipped out tomorrow (Wed.) and I took Friday and Saturday off to play. ;D Just curious and counting down the days for mine...I figured you might be doing the same.

Its usually 3 days. The Fed Ex tracker says they should show here on Friday (NH) and they are usually right. Just stinks waiting around all day for them to show up!!

Sweet! Same day as me. Yeah, the waiting around in anticipation all day does suck. If you are anything like me though, you are peeking out the windows and looking out the front door every 20 mins all day anyway!!! ;D ;D
