My audio system always sounds better after I take a dump j/k Definitely more "Tuneful", with lot's of "Bloom" and "Atmosphere". Some have reported a bit of "Splashiness", with an overly "Liquid" character... It's amazing to me the look on people's faces. A look of shock and awe. "WHOA DUDE!" is a common reaction. I'm assuming it's the sound they're referring to....right? Good point!

As with external audio cables, just make sure that your inner tubing observes the directional arrows.

Seems that this discussion has gone straight in the toilet.

It is interesting to note THIS brand. Are there any reviews? I'm sure the reviewer(s) would be "moved". "Velvety softness, Incredible transparency, with superb micro-details giving a tactile sense to the experience. Astounding absorption of whatever crap we could throw at it, and just a hint of diffusion." (I'm not sure why diffusion would be desirable in a toilet paper, but I don't know sh_t about the subject) In summary.... "We could really feel it!" It was like being able to touch the downloaded material with our hands..." "...over the span of a few days, even our wives were able to appreciate the lack of smear in the presentation" Heavens...I'd love to write THAT review....

As I previously mentioned, I sent the Pangea power cords back as they were too bright for my taste. Ordered two Shunyata Venom 3 power cords to try next. Should have them by Friday.

Should have them by Friday. did you have a chance to try them out? Yes, I'm currently using them, one on the ERC-2 and one on the XDA-1 and using the X-series on the UPA-1's. I've just been too busy with a move and a new job position to switch them back and forth. It will probably be the weekend after next before I can invest the time. Initial impressions good as it seemed to eliminate some brightness I was having with both my Def Techs and Selah S6's. Also, previously, things would sound strained when cranked up where now the sound seems more effortless. Will compare stock cord, x series and venom 3 as soon as I can.

that's good. I've had Shunyata Taipan, diamondbacks in the past. They were hooked up to Denon 3805 receiver and Denon 3910. Speakers were also Athena towers. So in this setup there was not much difference in sound quality. It was only a tad smoother.

Sorry, I forgot about this thread. I did compare them and actually like both the Emotiva X-series and Shunyata Venom 3 so still using both brands. The differences are very small but the Shunyata's did provide greater detail but the x-series was smoother and maybe a tad warmer. Ended up leaving the Venom 3's on the XDA-1 and ERC-2 and used the X-series on the amps. Now that I've sold the XDA-1 and have the ERC-2 up for sale, I'll probably experiment with the two cables again on the Anthem receiver. Both are good sounding, quality cables and would recommend both.

fact is...its always better to have the extra headroom...no matter what end of the electronics you are talking about....currently i have two XPA-2's and a rotel 1067 reciever all on one 15a 115v circuit.....and yeah..if i push it, i can just watch the voltage drop on the line to nearly 100v......not something im overly comfortable with and KNOW a larger circuit would be a better option....that is if i ever really played my crap to insane levels....
i mean seriously...how many of you have speakers WAY larger than what your room REALLY needs for a full sound.....
if i buy a fancy jumbo sied cable, its cuz im interested in how it looks with the rest of the system...lol, not because i am worried about the supplied cable that came with the equipment.
