my X-series IC/RCA cables sound just fine; my problem is that every last one of them have had the pin broken off by simply hanging there. to emotiva's credit, they've always replaced them, even though the replacements break too.

Sarcasm seems to go right over jamrock's head at times. ;D Don't change Jamrock, it makes for fun reading. We still love you. The interpretation of what is sarcastic rests with the hearer. It is up to the speaker to explain that he/she was just being sarcastic. But, I agree with you. I don't always pickup on these subtleties easily. ;D

Hey guys, I want to get some XLR cables in the future, but I'm not sure what to get. What do you guys think about BetterCables. Do you think that they are better than Emo's X-series XLR cables?

Ok guys, I guess I did deserve to be made fun of on the X series Digital cable comment on it sounding harsh. What I found out is that there is a sweet spot with my ERT 8.3 s that make the mids stand out, but a bit of tweeking and it can be eliminated. I did try another cable, a Canare Digiflex and after a few A/B tests I did feel that the Emo cable actually sounded better than the Digiflex and the older Audioquest. I do not work for Monster Cable (I actually am a dog trainer now) but I was a Product Manager for Switchcraft and Neutrik so I do know a bit about interconnects and cables.
