What cable to use with x-ref subwoofers? Xrca cable or the xcoax 75ohm cable?

Not necessary as far as I know. I use the single RCA for each of my subs. I used to use a splitter but I can't tell a difference in sound, and I'm not sure if there's another benefit of using the splitter. Would an Y split be needed aswell?

By using a splitter you increase the signal the sub sees. If you have trouble with the sub coming on when feed a signal this could help. I know eD suggested I do it because their auto on feature is sensitive.

Using a splitter will not effect the sound but it will increase/boost signal input so it can wake up your sub more easily and or you can turn down the subs amp level which again will not effect sound or increase/decrease max output

Hey All, (or anyone who'll answer...
I'm wondering if I'm looking at the UMC-1 wrong.
Is there NO connection for a turntable?
Hmm. Seems like a pretty big oversight.
is it just me?

You're in the wrong thread, so I'm sure the mods will move your post. Answer, you are looking at the UMC-1 rightly, but you are looking at the wrong product. Look at USP-1.

good to know about the y splitter. I didnt realize it would boost the signal coming in. I use one anyways. Its built in my audioquest sub cable. I also use Ed sub.

it will raise your output roughly 3db, but you can just turn the gain knob for that.

wow... as it had been more than a decade since I used a splitter for a sub (and it was a bleepy polk ), I had forgotten just how much the dB boost is. My x-ref 12 went from being a +0 or -1 on the volume setting to a -12 !!! The first music I listened to after I had used the splitter was the latest from Steven Wilson (Grace for Drowning) and the opening track had the x-ref 12 driver moving like a mega earthquake. My wife came running in from the back yard wondering what happened! ;D lol It was no sweat though for this sub which is very quickly becoming a stupendous buy. Still reviewing, though, but so far what an excellent little sub (and by little I refer solely to size, not sound). Using a splitter will not effect the sound but it will increase/boost signal input so it can wake up your sub more easily and or you can turn down the subs amp level which again will not effect sound or increase/decrease max output

bluejeans cables are great this is what I used (mostly) for my system. I do have Emotiva cable in the mix, plus some old higher end AQ cables left over from the dinosaur age...

You're just so ancient Allen. ;D As I understand it, next year Allen officially qualifies for designation as a fossil. ;D

You will see around a 3db increase when using a splitter to feed both inputs. I have done it
