What is the consensus on Emotiva's Ultra series RCA interconnects? Are they better than Monster cable RCAs for connecting amps? Still available on Emotiva's the online store?

Not looking for Speaker cables, just the RCAs..... When you click on the Emotiva's Online store link, it appears you can still order them.. Just curious about the quality of these compared to the newer/higher end X-series cables....

The ultra series cables are very loose (right out of the package). They require a little crimp to have a secure connection. The x series cables are very nice. They look great and have a very snug fit (right out of the package). Sound quality wise. They sound exactly the same

+1 on the X series RCA ICs. I don't use and Ultra series.

Dean you may also call Emotiva and ask whether they have any ultra series RCA's left from the Area 51 sale.

I tried the Ultras but didn't like them. Go for the X-series, they're nice sounding, better made cables.

Ok Thanks..... the price listed for a pair of the ultras was quite inexpensive and I am tempted to give them a try to replace the hodgepodge of cables I am using currently for inputs into my UPA-7 and UPA-2. Was the $4.49/pair price the norm or is it vastly discounted due to being discontinued?

Really can't hardly go wrong at that price! Going to give them a shot! Thanks!
