ok. so we finally completed our deck and installed speakers and cables etc. now the question is i need a cabinet which is outdoor rated, can stand the test of elements and can be locked !! any suggestions. txs

Any chance of building a cabinet? Frame and all. Maybe use cement blocks or line with siding to match the house. You don't want any ill effects from the weather (condensation, moisture will cause havoc and precipitate rusting, corrosion, oxidation of copper cables :-(). A built-in option is best if you can swing it.

cannot built anything on the deck.........and cement blocks !! absolutely no no. i was thinking more in terms of composite material or fibreglass material........

My suggestion would be to visit a local home center or hardware store and see what they have to offer. I am sure you are not the only one who has needed something like this for various reasons and you might find a few options. I can't say I have ever looked, but I would think there would be something available for this.

Your looking for cabinets for boats.
I do allot of fancy interior work for yachts.
And have seen some crazy $$ sealed cabinets that can even vacuum seal themselves.
