Anyone else her agree that it would be nice if Emotiva produced a remote with some more functionality.
Example: The Volume controls an XDA-1, it has ERC-1/ERC-2 funtions such as play, pause, skip, etc....
oh and flip of a little switch and BAM all of a sudden in now controls the volume for a USP-1/ERC combination.......
anyway you get my point.......having a small collection of Emotiva remotes is cool and all but they dont get used in the "system" since all I have done is just make my Rotel Remote learn all the commands that I want on the "CD" part of the remote....sorry I'm anal...i just want a damn emo remote for my two channel system....

Just buy a quality universal remote, you will never use a products original remote again.
Personally I prefer URC remotes, but Harmony is easier for most people to start with.

A universal remote is the only way to go. I use the Home Theater Master. One remote does everything and does it really well.

I think it has been brought up before, but as already mentioned many have a universal remote that takes care of this. I agree it would be kind of nice to have an Emo one, but with the wide variety already available at reasonable prices, it is a difficult market to enter.

yeah i have a few..lol i just wanted an Emo one......;-) What I meant is you need a really good high quality remote, when you have a really good remote you won't want something else. URC (which also was "Home Theater Master" remote) makes the best remotes in my opinion. But their best remotes are not cheap and are not marketed at retail buyers.
