Hello everyone,
I'm going to buy the Sub mentioned above, according to market survey I carried out his data quite impressive for the money.
One thing a bit daunting me, he weighs only 20kg compared to competitors who weigh 50kg and more..
Is this statistic about the quality of the materials of the sub? Is this indicative of the level?

I love mine and am very happy with it. It provides plenty of lovely clean bass. I wont hesitate at all to recommend it to you. I put mine through a serious test today and knocked a couple pictures off the wall in another room. It sounded very clean and I was hard pressed to find any distortion. I am very pleased with the build quality. Emo offers affordable products, I wouldn't worry about the quality. If you are looking for IMMENSELY deep bass, you might want to search other options, or just get two. ;D This sub is plenty deep for my taste. There are numerous people in this forum that would have great recommendations for you if you are looking for a huge hard hitter. Just watch out for price. Good luck with your purchase.

Thank you pop,
I wish I could afford a higher budget subwoofer.
Maybe in future I'll buy JL Audio F113, maybe I'll add more x-ref12 who knows.

I've always thought the heavier the sub, the less resonance it will have

I've always thought the heavier the sub, the less resonance it will have It's not less resonance, it's a change in resonant frequency. An object's natural frequency is inversely proportional to its mass, so the goal is to add enough of it to push the resonant frequency subsonic.

By the way,
Which companies can compare the X-REF12? Even if it is more expensive?
for example, svs, rythmik, hsu and more...

Just buy some of my new Reso-Low bags. Stack 2 to 3 on your sub to start then add more later. Each bag is filled with a secret proprietary silica substance. Introductory price is only $995/bag.

Tried it and it's not as good as Acufume. This organic sound enhancer really brings out the nature smoothness richness of your music.

The main reason I developed Reso-Low is that in addition to lowering the resonant frequency of whatever it is stacked on, it provides for a better WSAF.

If you need that subterranean low end, then this may not be for you. However, even though I bought these (dual x-ref 12s) mostly for music, I agree with pop these subs have plenty of low end for me. I can recommend them without hesitation. Best of luck!

I've been wanting dual subs that do address the low end cleanly for music first, movies secondary in a 'sealed' enclosure.
And, I'm not interested in their current offerings.
Emotiva has yet to reveal their 'premium' line of subs...(ERS line) (And ERS-212 for dual)
And, Emo patrons have been waiting quite awhile for these...
Well, I'll willing to wait about 6 more months or then it's time for me to move on and look elsewhere.

The spring and fall are the primary new product release seasons. You might not have long to wait. I'm waiting to see how much the X/REF-15s will turn me on.

I used to own the x ref 12 until I returned it. In my opinion the x ref sounded very nice. It sounded very quiet yet powerful, i'm not sure if that makes sense but I really loved that subwoofer and it was painful to part with it but I am waiting for their reference subs so the x ref had to go. Although I would definitely recommend the x ref 12 to anyone.
