There are component & composite to hdmi cables available. The XMC-1 will have 7 hdmi inputs so you are more than covered. You'll just have to buy a couple cables. Stop being so nervous ;D Good point Jamrock, I am not sure why I didn't even think about that...I suppose it would have been too "easy" for me to come up with an actual solution. ;D

Sometimes I kinda "think too hard myself" and simpliest of solutions escapes me. It only proves that you are a normal human ;D

Analog video and video output is some of the other differnces between Emotiva and Sherbourn:
· Sherbourn PT 7030 has dual HDMI outputs and the Emotiva will have one HDMI out. · PT 7030 has three additional zones with composite video and audio. Each zone output can be configured independently. The Emotiva will have one additional zone with no video support.
· The PT 7030 has multiple legacy video inputs (Composite, S-Video and Component) as well as full video processing (Faroudja DCDI) and up conversion to HDMI 1.4. The Emotiva will only have HDMI inputs and no video processing or conversion.
Keep in mind that I the info comes from Sherbourn, but they are probably correct.

There are several systems with a Pro & Consumer versions. So frigging what? You made is sound as if the consumer version is a bad thing. Have your buddy ever listened to and made a blind listening test comparison of both? Ask him & let us know. Much appreciated ;D I think you tottaly got it wrong... I would guess the differnce between the Tact versions is probably something similar to Audyssey MultEQ XT32 vs Audyssey MultEQ Pro. They do basically the same but Pro version lets you more in control and have even more options than the std version.

No that's not the only difference, there are several, these are what i remember: - Different TACT versions - 1 vs 2 HDMI outputs - No analog video on XMC1 - Different chips/processors, TI vs Cirrus Logic - No RS232 on XMC1 - Sherbourn have several "installer" possiblities (for Pro use)
So there are several differences but I don't think/hope they are worth the extra money, Sherbourn will cost 2-3 more so at least I have preordered a XMC-1.

Obviously, Sherbourne and Emotiva are meant for different target customers. Sherbourne is meant for installers, while Emotiva is meant for audiophiles and home theater afficionados. But I've been on the Sherbourne page and did not see TacT or dual HDMI mentioned anywhere on specs for PT-7030. Here are it's features from their page: Features •Twin Cirrus® 32-bit dual-core DSP processors for true 192kHz performance •Support for all standard audio formats including Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital True HD, Dolby PLIIx, DTS, DTS-ES, DTS HD, DTS Master Audio, DTS Neo 6, SPDif, PCM 8 channel (some audio formats only via HDMI) •Genesis® Torino high-performance video scaling engine for true 10-bit processing •Faroudja DCDi Cinema® Format Conversion and Truelife™ video enhancer •HDMI 1.4a Deep Color Compliant, ARC, CEC •Discrete multichannel parametric EQ for all channels allow precise room correction •Balanced XLR 7.2-channel outputs •Balanced analog inputs •3-Zone capability •Ethernet control capability •RS232 remote with extensive driver set •Audiophile performance •5-year warranty •Intuitive, graphical OSD for setup and operation over HDMI or component •HDMI 1080p scaled output available from all legacy video inputs •Fully balanced inputs and outputs (including dual sub-woofers) •High-voltage, low impedance main analog outputs (up to 7 VRMS) •Independent parametric EQ •0.5 dB level trims •Bluetooth wireless audio •iPod/iPad support •Extensive drivers for all popular automation systems
It doesn't matter anyway. XMC-1 will be the real thing for us. Even if TacT is in more slimmed down version, it will still be better than anything else at this price point (or even much more expensive gear). And certainly (hopefully?) not a disaster that is UMC-1.

Until we have the XMC-1 in our racks and we are able to run it through its paces, we don't have a clue what the XMC-1 TacT is able to accomplish. BTW, I have never heard of a pro version of TacT. But if it exists, quite like, that version is designed purely for professional audio applications. Unlike MultEQ Pro which seemed not to be designed specifically for professional applications. Feel free to correct me. I'm just thinking ;D

I hope we get a little bit of a heads up before these puppies are ready to be shipped. I have so much going on financially it will need to be planned out.

Yes, being normal certainly isn't one of my qualities. I like to refer to myself as eccentric!!! ;D ;D ;D geebo, I too predict that the XMC-1 will have an appearance (in its final form) at Emofest. I imagine that there will be one hooked up and running flawlessly for everyone in attendance to play with/get a feel for...so they can then report back to the forums with the great news!!! However, I am still up in the air on weather or not it will be for sale at that time...only time will tell.

Lets hope that if it's there, it's for sale. I'm not sure which would be worse, seeing it and not being able to buy it or not seeing it at all ;D
