No real info forthcoming here. All we can safely assume is that it will cost more than the UPA-200. But emo threw me a surprise here. The UPA-200 was meant to be the budget pseudo-replacement for the UPA-2 while the UPA-2 was being bumped up to the XPA-200 which was to be the REAL replacement However, the specs show the UPA-200 having more power than the old UPA-2. Which I assume to show that their XPA-200 is not going to be a slouch and should perform better than both the UPA-200 and the UPA-2. How cool is that? So what do you say Dan? Throw us fans some info this way? Yeah, that's quite my opinion as well, the "basic and just works" UPA-200 is specced better than I would have imagine (and priced accordingly), so that leads to high expectations for the xpa-200, and the associated fear that it could be out of my budget (overseas shipping costs notwithstanding)

Re: Signal to Noise measurement!! Well, I couldn't sleep all weekend... Went into the lab today with Nick and threw a UPA-200 on the bench and ran it through its paces on the trusty Audio Precision and things are right where they should be. 1 watt S/N is >-92dB
Rated power S/N is >-106dBTypo's will be corrected shortly. All is well with the world! Cheers, Big Dan

MUCH better numbers. I didn't think you'd ship something with that high a noise floor or a noisy power supply.

Good to know! We all had a feeling, it's not as if there have never been any misprinted specs on the site. ;D

Dan, Thanks to you and Nick for taking time to bench test the new product and get back to us with the info. I hope you can sleep better tonight. Typos can happen, especially with lots of technical data on a new product. We knew something was up (as DYohn and Entity mentioned). Value is one of Emotiva's strong points, but so is quality. All is well. ;D
