Hi all, i am about to finish setting up my HT room, which is a rectangle of 6550mm long by 4000mm wide. the speakers are focal chorus 807 (LR) and 800 centre and will be placed behing a 125inch accoustic transparent screen. i am wanting to get a apir of xref12 but uinsure if i can fit them behing the screen with the rest of speakers. will there be any degradation of sound if placed behind the screen or shoul i place them on the floor. I would love to have everything concealed but if it does not perform as well as having the subs on the fllor i will do just that. sincerely yours froggy

A subwoofer should not be affected at all by an acoustically transparent screen, I would hide away.
Edit: In re-reading your post I see that you mean to move the subwoofers off of the floor to conceal them, that indeed will change their output, it will likely be less, but not necessarily worse, you'll probably have to try it.

Hi audioHTIT, thanks for your reply and advice. i did some more net browsing and seems that having a sub off th floor , like you said is a bit tricky and got to invest a fair bit of time and effort to get it right. i may just leave them on the floor. by the way is there any more news on the x ref15? two of those will take it a notch or two i reckon.
