Ok, so I'm from Brazil and just got a UPA-7 while on vacations here in the US.
The thing weights 36 kg boxed, 30.5 kg unboxed, and I have 32 kg allowed on the airline carrier. Overweight costs me 200 bucks extra... It is still VERY worth for me even after that, however I was wondering if maybe I could take some pieces out of the case and bring it down to the 32kg limit, then carry the spare pieces on another bag!
I know its a very long shot, but maybe someone is familiar with the equip and can suggest me something. Im thinking mostly unscrewing and unplugging, anything more complicated and it should be better to pay the 200 bucks.

Maybe remove the tranformer, that's the heaviest single piece. Give Emotive Support a call, they might have a better suggestion.
Much simpler would be removing from the box the power cable, manual, link cable etc, that might be enough.
Cheers Gary
