Until there is an Official Update Log available following are some of the items that others have noticed;
1. HDMI CEC is more robust in that there is now separate control over the "AUTO SOURCE" and the "POWER CONTROL" functions. I can now turn on the home theater(TV, processor, amplifiers, blu-ray) by only turning on the TV, processor or blu-ray. Exceptions being that the Oppo BDP-83 will only turn on the TV, while the Oppo BDP-93 turn them all on, so apparently the 83 CEC protocols are not as robust as the 93. Motorola STB has no HDMI CEC control built in so that either has to be turned on separately or by using the STB remote to turn on both itself and TV that turns on the rest.
2. Playback of DSP modes are now remembered.
3. DTS track information on the front display is now available where only before Dolby track information was available.
4. OSD "POP UP" is now in a transparent window where before it was black. I prefer this.
5. EMO-Q in my experience is much more robust. It has now correctly shown my speakers & subs in phase, hits the distance within inches(tape measure verifies this). I'm even more pleased from what I can remember sound wise with the results in the P-EQ.
6. Maybe it's just me, but switching inputs seems to be faster video-wise. Audio locks-on very closely behind. This includes switching channels and "stopping/pausing/rewinding/forwarding" through On-Demand content on my Motorola Comcast STB.
I recall that some were/are having problems with the triggering on the UMC-200. For the record I've not had any of those problems with v1.52.02.30 and I'm still not having any problems with this new firmware v1.52.02.39.
As "Doc" noted in his last post, the "-" is still not available for re-labeling the input names. This is definitely nitpicking but I thought I'd reiterate what he said.
As of now, I've had a busy weekend doing other things, but these are what I've noticed with the time that I have spent with the new firmware/software v1.52.02.39
The others are:
1) Bass Enhance is defaulted On and speaker Small, but to turn off Bass Enhance one has to set speaker to Large. Not fixed but very simple workaround.
2) No manual PEQ for the back speakers. Major issue.
3) DDEX flagged bitstreams do not allow PLIIx. Minor issue.
4) PLII Music mode has 3 dB less level than Movie mode. Should be the same. Downmixing 5.1 to stereo drops ~9dB. Should not do that. Annoying, but minor.
5) Surround delays were excessive. Now fixed. Hurray!
6) Headphone out has goofy response. Waasaap wit dat?
BTW, has anybody run EmoQ with a 7.1 system? Does it EQ the rear speakers?
ETA: Revised for clarity.
Well, I am now happy to say that my six hours of aggravation has paid off in big way.
The UMC-200 now can "remember" user settings, has more granularity in CEC control, auto speaker setup (in my system) is spot on and all channels are within 1 dB (as confirmed with my trusty Rat Shack SPL meter) Phase reporting is accurate and the results of EmoQ sounds better than they ever have.
For the first time ever (and I mean EVER as in "including Audyssey") I prefer the sound with ARC left "on". For me, when an ARC system doesn't suck the life out of a room, that's a big advancement...!!! Tomorrow will bring some critical music evaluations using ARC.
In reviewing the EQ settings made by EmoQ, I found nothing surprising or unreasonable and, based upon previous frequency sweeps and measurements of my room taken with both OmniMic and REW, the adjustments are right where I'd expect them to be. Luckily, I have a pretty good room (and is "WAF" treated), so the adjustments are modest, but accurate.
For me, there is only one issue (which I reported early on) that was not addressed. There is still NO way to "permanently" fine tune your speaker levels without the internal tones being active.
Regardless of how accurate "auto" setup has become, there are always those who would prefer to do the speaker setup manually or, at least, tweak the results using tones from externally sourced (disc based) material. There is (still) no way to do that without the ability to defeat the internal tones. Sure, you "can" make your tweaks using the TRIMS menu (which are temporary and are forgotten at shutdown) making notations of your adjustments, then going back and making permanent adjustments to the SPEAKER LEVEL menu. Not a huge deal, but you better make sure you've lowered the master volume first. To me, a simple "Test Tones On/Off" feature (yes, like Oppo uses) would be perfect.
Additionally, there is still no "-" (dash) in the character set... ;D
For me, aside from the two trivial notations above, this update could well be the last. Personally, I'd be fine with that.
My six hours of ungodly cursing not withstanding, congratulations are in order to Emotiva for delivering a "solid" product. It was worth the wait...
Detection if phase now is correct I was getting out if phase with the previous firmware
OSD font is now larger then before, I like this
The OSD overlay now is more cleaner no box around overlay just text
The sound seems more improved haven't done a full test yet
Emoq now does a better job and center channel has been raised
That's what I have seen so far maybe others can chime in and add to the list or we can start a new thread
Might help others see if they should update or not.
I will add more as people post their results.
Cheers
Gary

I did a quick check to see which of the problems I encountered were addressed. Out of 6 I checked today, 5 have not been addressed.

Pending the official changelog, and so that my posts won't be all doom and gloom ;D, I can happily report that the YCbCr 4:4:4 colourspace/HDMI handshake bug, which had been reported here on the forums earlier in the year (emotivalounge.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=preamps&thread=28747&page=1) and has plagued me and my Dune D1 media player from the word go seems to have been fixed in this firmware version. Thanks for listening, Emo!
Also noticed trigger 2 does function.
For those that are interested some things that have new fixed that I have noticed
