Hi all. I am new to forums and not sure of the protocol. I have been doing lots of research and have just ordered the xsp1 pre and xpr2 power amplifier.Like many people at first glance I was shocked at the ratio of price / specification Emotiva offers compared to other hifi companies and have joined the forum to speak with existing owners to seek reassurance. The build quality looks amazing. Thank you.

Hi deltadube, I have been advised 2/3 days to test/change voltage and then 5/7 day delivery so hopefully the week after next. I can't wait..... I was contemplating ordering the xpa-2 and then could not resist the spec when the xpr-2 was released.

Hey Egg1
I recently swapped out my XPA2 for the XPR2 and your in for a real treat. The air and fullness around the music is sonic perfection. You'll be very pleased with your decision. Happy listening.

1. Welcome to the Lounge. 2. Other than being civil (which covers most of the forum rules) there is no protocol. 3. Welcome to the Lounge. Nice stuff you've picked up. What's it going to be hooked up to (lack of protocol lets me split infinitives )

Thanks guys for all the comments, really putting me at ease with my purchases. Being so far away and not having heard the emo gear it is still a major gamble for me which I am hoping will pay off. EITwo I am hooking them up to my Quadral Titan vii loudspeakers. They can come in some hideous colour combinations but mine are black with silver trim, 88 kg monsters with 15" woofers that I am hoping the xpr-2 will grab hold of and give me some serious controlled bottom end !! I am old school in as much as where my hifi is concerned I have always associated quality with weight hence the xpr-2 grabbed my attention immediately.

Right, you can fully expect that this amp will grab those 15" woofers and show 'em who's boss! I know that when I went from a 130w x 2 AVR to the XPR-5, I noticed an immediate bottom end benefit especially with my two fronts - which each incorporate TWO 10" woofers. Things tightened up noticeably, dynamics and headroom were no longer an issue, much 'ease' and the feeling that I could just keep turning up the volume but never run out of gas! Yes, you'll love it!
