Hi guys...newbie here. My Buttkicker amp (BKA 1000) has recently bought the farm and I'm looking for a suitable replacement. Does anyone here run a Buttkicker LFE with an alternate amp? Thanks

I also use the same amp. Fortunately still going after almost 8 years. Why not replace it with the same model? Amazon has some. So do Parts Express.

I was hoping for something a little smaller in size and a bit cheaper.

Well, you can definitely use another amp that has less power... Even though the LFE transducer has a recommended minimum of 400 watts, I use the BKA-300 Buttkicker amp at 300 watts and it works great. And looking at the Buttkickergear.com wiring diagrams, you would theoretically be fine with 250 watts too.. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any real deals on the smaller BKA-300 amp right now... Although I have picked one up in the past year on Ebay for about $150. There also recently was a repair service offered for the BKA1000 amp for $160 on Ebay, but you pay shipping both ways I believe.. so maybe not such a great deal...
