Is the video resolution flashing?
I got my system working (FIOS Box, Oppo103, HTPC, Emotiva Phono, USB input from PC). I then turned if off to relax and celebrate. When I went back to enjoy the system I found that NOTHING works. No video from any source, no audio from any source.
The HDMI A & V seem to display the correct input. The video resolution flashes slowly and the audio says PCM 0.0.
Not sure if our situations are related...I actually had everything working for the weekend until now. I have cycled power, checked TV show correct input, and have run out of ideas. I would have thought I could at least turn off the TV and listen to Phono or USB audio from PC....no sound, no video. Lights come on and the display works as expected.
I will call tech support... unless anyone has ideas... Hopefully it's something simple.
...just when I thought I had the basics figured out.

I tried the digital coax and the reference analog from the ERC-3 and they both worked and sounded great, tried his desktop PC, set top box and PS4 on all different HDMI inputs and nothing for audio or video, display doesn't change at all for showing video bit rate and such. Don't know if you're technically inclines, but you could pop the cover (after unplugging it of course) just to see if any internal cabling came unplugged. Just looking for the obvious of course. I expect Emotiva will help you along with this. Sorry for the glitch. Hope you get it all going ASAP. It's a great piece of gear.

Yeah I will be calling them in the morning to see what the best option is, I am in Canada so cheapest way would not be shipping it back and forth but I won't do anything until I speak with Emotiva. I did change a board in the first set of 1L's I owned as the locking XLR connector went bad and they sent me a new board, I am a voice, Internet and TV service technician and have access at work to a static controlled environment which helps but it will be their decision to say the least Chad

You are right - it's 1.4b. The problem still could be HDCP, however. Yeah tried different TV's and with Emotiva HDMI cables as well, and can't even get audio from any of the HDMI inputs either, as for the subwoofer connection we never got that far into it lol. Chad Today ,Monday Emotiva support was open, did you call them? What's happen?

Hello,
Unfortunately I have exactly the same problem with my XMC-1. creimes, is everything sorted with the replacement unit ?
I have tried for more than a week to contact the emotiva tech support using the emotiva website or by emails (4 of them) without any answers. As an international buyer, and considering my sloppy english, I would really prefer a writing communication instead of a phone one.
If someone could help me by giving me a person at Emotiva (mail adress) to contact I would really appreciate.
Thank you.

Replacement unit is working as it should, email does usually take a little longer than a phone call from what I have heard.

I had a problem where there was no video. What happened is I had the TV input was re-assigned to Satellite box , logically, this would be correct. Oh baby, I selected the Bluray DVD input from the TV input selector, and bingo every things is cool again, sound is back on. When I apply logical explanations to the XMC-1, I get no where. While watching the Sunday Night Football game, and I had it recorded, I fast forward through a commercial break, and what the heck, no sound when I went back to play. ha ha ha So I instinctively pressed pause, and then play again, bingo sound is back. Not logical, tried to repeat, can't do it.
I can't find the TV speaker sound anymore, who needs them anyway. Now if I use the volume control from the Satellite box controller, the pop up calls out Home Theater volume. LOL That showed up after the upgrade was installed. TV speakers are probably gone forever, so what. Now no else living here can operate the family room TV, and that's good too. All my problems are self made. Probably I did something with the trigger set up ,everything was doing well, now if I turn on the XMC-1 everything goes on, well not the Turntable, but no sound. so I press standby on the XMC-1 controller, and then On again, and the sound comes back. One more time, When everything is off, and I press XMC-1 on, everything comes on, but without sound. Turn off the XMC-1, TV stays on, Satellite box stays on, then turn XMC-1 back on, sound comes on. Its me, or maybe the 4 year old grand son, he helped with the wiring. This actually repeats every time.
I love the machine, it's fun to tweak the music, and try different sound parameters. I figure I need two more years of fiddling with all the changes. LOL And I only have 3 speakers, what havoc I could create when I add 4 more, and a couple subs. This toy has kept me mesmerized since the box opened, haven't talked with the wife at any length in over three weeks now. She loves the XMC-1

I am pleased to say that everything has been solved.
Yesterday, I have received a very complete email from Emotiva Support (Damon) that explained with precision the reason. Quote (just a small part) : "Make sure to turn off ALL CEC control on the TV, VERY IMPORTANT!"
That single action fixed every input devices video image on my TV screen.
The support team might take its time (at least by email) but is very effective. Thanks and congrats once again to Emotiva.
