Emotiva support told me the correct values for the capacitors to be changed:
- old c18 220mf 16v, c19 1000mf 16v
must be changed with:
- new c18 330mf 25v, c19 1000mf 25v
You can easily verify if your power unit has the wrong capacitors (c18 & c19 numbers are written on the board) and, if you are able soldering, change them for 2$ or few. Bye.

READ THIS NOW !!!!In cases where the original standby power supply capacitors in the UMC-200 have failed, we have in several cases offered non-US customers the option of having them replaced locally (or sometimes even of doing the repair themselves - IF they are qualified to do so).
However....1) The original values are NOT "wrong", and we are NOT considering this to be a mandatory or even a recommended change UNLESS YOUR UMC-200 HAS FAILED. 2) Even if your UMC-200 HAS failed, we still recommend that US customers return their unit here for service (only our repair department can make exceptions to this).
3) IF YOU REPLACE THESE CAPACITORS YOURSELF, WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM OUR REPAIR DEPARTMENT, YOU MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY. (Again, this is NOT a "recommended" or "approved" upgrade.)
4) THESE CAPACITORS ARE PART OF A SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY, AND ONLY CERTAIN PARTS TYPES WILL WORK IN THIS APPLICATION. IF YOU REPLACE YOUR CAPACITORS, WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, AND USE THE WRONG PARTS, YOUR UMC-200 WILL FAIL AND YOUR WARRANTY WILL BE VOID.
THESE CAPACITORS MUST BE REPLACED WITH PARTS THAT ARE NOT ONLY THE CORRECT VALUE BUT MUST ALSO BE RATED "LOW ESR" AND "105 DEGREES C". WE PREFER NICHICON LOW ESR PARTS, BUT THERE ARE OTHER EQUIVALENTS THAT WILL WORK SATISFACTORILY.

Yes, it is really better if you contact Emotiva, they can solve any problems.
For non-us customers the shipping costs are so expensive that it could be better to buy the equipement new..... :-))
