Ansat, I am new to posting on forums so forgive my lack of understanding of protocol. I just purchased an XMC-1 and in the midst of setting it up for Dirac Measurements. I am confused regarding configuring AGC. I do not have the same device listed in the recording devices. The only item is a Conexant smart audio HD microphone and it appears is not for a USB connection. Is the USB microphone something I can download from the internet?

That sounds like a mic for your laptop. Try a different USB port and give it a few minutes while windows configures the driver. You should see the red light on the mic cable illuminate. Tony

Tony/Dan,
I am running Windows 8.1 and using a UMIK-1 mic. I do not see a custom option either with this setup. Would AGC only be for the Emotiva mic?
Thanks,
Steve

Ansat,
Silly me. Once I plugged in the mic to the USB port, the computer searched and loaded the driver and all is well. I am running 8.1. After the driver loads, AGC can be disabled as described in the video.
Thanks
