Who all out there is really happy with all or just part of your system?
Personally I am completely content with parts of my system. I desperately need a decent CD player, which I really have never bought a good one. I'd also like to upgrade my speakers, but I like them so much that I am just going to get the floorstanders of the same lineup.
Other than that I can see having my amp and streamer for many many years.
What say you all? Can you see yourself having all or some of your components for a long time, I mean decades. I truly don't think that I'll ever have to get another amp (unless it becomes non functional)
I am talking about my 2 channel here, not TV/ HT systems as they basically have planned obsolescence.

Getting Sonus Faber floorstanders of any model is not a bad move. This brand has some of the best sounding speakers, As to am I really happy--I am with the exception that I will upgrade my preamp to the newest Emotiva after the dust settles on all the updates. Also I have Grado head phones and I want Auldeze

You funny man. Happy for the time being, but once I get used to the sound I'll step it up. My " forever" system will include the above mentioned SF speakers, McIntosh mono blocks and tubes galore

Yes. For two channel I've been done for a year and I have no desire to change out any of my components. My only change is my tube rotation every two months. I have 5 sets. Otherwise I'm set and content.

My system is shaping up well. Subwoofer on the way to get to the bottom of it all, and run Dirac. My ordered SVS SB2000.

I must admit I'm pretty content with my set up at this time. My one system consist of three systems so I switch up quite often. That really helps keep things fresh. Just the other day I simply changed out my speaker stands from a short pair, to a tall pair, and I also played with the speaker placement, actually moving the speakers farther from the rear walls. The bookshelf speakers are much more engaging in this new position. I'm an admitted audiophile, we can always find something else to buy. I guess for the time being I'm completely happy because I don't plan to sell anything.

Since my XMC-1 arrived, I've been very happy.
I need to learn about Dirac curves and eventually try to integrate my old (now spare) subwoofer to see how it works.

Otherwise I'm set and content. Changing tubes doesn't count! I have hit a combo that I really like right now. I am using a vintage Mullard 12AU7 for my Pre-Amp tube, and RCA Clear Tops for the 12AU7 amp gain stage. I also have a pair of PSVane 12AX7s coming for the rest of the gain stage. If they don't float my boat, I'll go back to the stock 12AX7s which are sounding really good.

I will never be satisfied. Unfortunately the upgrade bug strikes often for me.
I am satisfied with my set ups but I can picture upgrading from the XPA-2's and UPA-1's to XPR-1's all around. I can almost picture a brand new set of Klipschorns for each two channel set up and some Klipsch Belles and La Scalas to fill out my surround rooms. Overkill?....
Don't get me wrong, I am really happy with the way everything sounds and I really see no need to upgrade....but....I am sure if money permits me to do so.....I will!

I'm very happy with my current system which is 7.1 but I can't wait to try the Full Dirac. I do not have plans for any Atmos setup at the moment. Don't want to think about going up in the attic at this time as it's already getting hot up there.
I'm waiting for further developments in home automation, particularly lighting. I could use some automation where the lights dim just as the movie is starting.

The only recent upgrades were a great salamander designs rack off if craigslist and a pair of tubes that haven't come in yet. I would like to upgrade the speakers, but I don't have money or permission yet. This may not happen for a couple of years. I have the 1.5 in black and like them.

*raises hand* Yup, I'm quite satisfied with my entire system. I started this journey in mid-2011 with lots of research and deliberation. At the time, I had a Denon AVR-587, a set of five Yamaha NS-series speakers, and an Acoustic Research 12" subwoofer, stuff I'd been using since 2006. If I'm honest, I really enjoyed that system and it was still better than any of my friend's HTs (my friends just didn't rank a good-sounding HT as a priority). But the upgrade bug had bitten and I wanted to improve performance across the board by several orders of magnitude. Well, thanks to lots of research, I discovered companies like Ascend Acoustics, Emotiva, Rythmik Audio, and others. As of January 2015, I've pretty much stopped looking to buy. I'm all set for a while. In the last half of 2014 I decided to consolidate my equipment since I kinda went overboard with Emotiva goodness. Now my system is a perfect balance of quality and simplification. I have the system I've always dreamed about--speakers, subwoofer, and electronics. It just took a few years to figure out the right combination. Although I'd love to do more with my room, I'm in a place where constraints play their hand. For example, I need a dedicated room to treat the walls properly (long story). A larger, dedicated room would also allow me to have tower speakers, whereas I've been using bookshelf monitors (albeit very high quality ones) for the L/R. A larger room could afford me the space for multiple subs. But these items aren't essential. I still have my 40% off discount card from purchasing the UMC-1, but I'm super happy with the Fusion 8100 (and was actually an upgrade for me over the UMC-1). The 40% card will stay safely tucked away for down the road if I ever get a dedicated HT room. Then I can get an XMC-1 or XMR-1 or whatever. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that it's so nice to finally be over the upgrade hill. That is to say, not constantly thinking about that next upgrade. I can finally sit back and just enjoy music and movies without thinking about upgrades.

Interesting to note how many that are satisfied have at least some tubes in their systems.
And how many others want to add tubes.
BTW, there's nothing I would change in my system.
