Trying to isolate a slight hiss. Yours has stock, newly biased tubes. Can't report on that yet. Other has no hiss with the blue tubes, not the case with stock tubes. Now to see what yours does with the stock. Next step...maggies.

villock,
this is jmasterj I'm over snackers we just switched out the tubes on the MC-30L he got from you to the new one he just got to make sure the hiss he was hearing was actually from the tubes and not from the amp. Happy to report switching the tubes on the second MC-30L to the blue glass tubes seemed to eliminate the hiss. So then we listened to your MC-30L with the stock tubes and it sounded really good so we're still evaluating.

Sweet setup up snacker. To stay in the game I went with a quasi mono Dared setup. [img src=" " alt=" "]

Ah the power of the Emotiva Lounge,
I e-mailed snacker that same message three hours ago no response. Then I posted it here on the forum and he answered in ten minutes what?

Tell us about the amps. How do they sound? Are you driving the Sommerliers with them? How many watts? So I have multiple setups. The Sommeliers are being driven by an iDecco as they needed more power than the 18 watts of the Dared or the 16.5 of the Qinpu. I have not had much time with the Sommeliers but what I have listened to so far sounds really nice. They are image very well and have a smidgen of bass but MUST have a sub to get anything below 55 hz. They are rated lower but I am not able to get that from my placement. I will need more time with those as my time has been mostly with the Dared VP-20 setup to run in my left and right Tekton Pendragon Monitors. These sound amazing. I continue to be amazed at how versatile these Pendragon Monitors are for HT and 2 channel performance. The Pendragons are my HT setup and so I just swap the speaker cables in or out based on whether I watch a movie or listen to 2 channel music.

While reading your latest post I just realized how much we have in common. We both have multiple setups. We both have tube equipment, and we both have bookshelf, floor standers, and planer speakers. We both own Tektons, and Maggies. Too bad you don't live in Las Vegas then you could join snacker, and me for some fun listening to some tunes.
