The eGOs sound great. I have an advanced listen. A winner in every sense. I want one. Lets see Big, little, trip, maniac, so many cool choices!!

These are all great products in the pipeline. I am especially excited about the dc-1 form factor equipment. I would love an amp that stacked perfectly with the dc-1. If I ever go the vinyl route the SP-1 would be mighty tempting as well (though probably overkill since i wouldn't use the other analog inputs!). How about some class D mono amps in the dc-1 form factor?!

Class D amps in a DC-1 form factor...sounds quite interesting! Maybe I will keep my DC-1 and find a use for it with my old B&W 202's in a small system.

I'm waiting for them to release the Superego so I can listen to everything in rational and socially acceptable formats. On the other hand, if they release the Id I can listen to everything in its raw primitive form.  |

I would be interested in the SP-1 and run it into a control freak then to the amps. It would have been really nice if they combined the dc-1 and the sp-1 in to one chassis with only one power supply.

That would make quite a bit of sense imo. Currently the $300 price point may be a bit too high for the standalone unit to promote sales. |

Talking about Ego Maniacs, little egos, big egos, and ego trips, I am wondering what type of subliminal messages (if any) Emo is trying to send to headphone lovers by choosing such labels for this new line of Dacs/Headphone amps. Any ideas?  I mean the labels wouldn't prevent me from buying, if the quality is good, but I do not exactly consider myself to be an ego maniac, or a person with a big or small ego...Personally, my "ego" simply is (that is, if I have one at all), and does not fancy any additional labels. Just saying...  |

They are telling them they should have egos because they own the product. But if you own the little ego, then well your friends may giggle a bit and point a bit but it's all good.

I think they are just funny labels that play on the "e" theme in Emotiva. Sound fine to me and easy to remember.

I would also run the oppo analog outs into the sp-1 and have the best of both worlds. Turn table and a cd/DAC into the switch box and let the control freak do the volume |
