When I turn on my XMC, it turns my amps on via the 12v triggers. Then it turns them off, and then back on again.
Anybody else experiencing this? Is there something I'm missing in the setup that would correct this?
My "main zone" is configured to use trigger 1 - which is what my amps are daisy chained to.

It might help if you post your trigger settings for Input, Power, and Speakers. How is your equipment set up and during what activity does it happen.

I had the same problem with my xpa-500 and xpa-700 and Emotiva sent me the trigger box ET-3 which solved it. Mel

Hello, I have exactly the same problem with my XPA-5. When I turn on my XMC, it turns my amps on via the 12v trigger 1. Then it turns them off, and then back on again.

I have tried various settings, defaulting to unused inputs in startup etc, but seems this is not avoidable in the current version of the firmware. It would be great if a delay could be set to power on of the amps (via triggers) somewhere in the future.

I had the same problem with my XMC and a UPA7 and a UPA5.
They sent out the ET-3 to address the problem. Too bad it took a couple of weeks as it was useless and I ended leaving the amp on 24/7 for WAF.

I did change all the cables etc to try and resolve the issue, but there is something in the old UPA line and the XMC line...

This will only happen if the XMC boots from the low power standby mode. It does not happen if you boot from the HDMI pass through standby mode.

Yup! I can confirm this! Turning HDMI pass-through on "fixed" my issue...

You have no other choice until there is a firmware fix in place. Reliability should not be an issue if you have adequate ventilation for the equipment. And only tubes degrade over time. Russ

Did they ever say a firmware fix was even possible?

Same here. I pwr on the XMC-1, it triggers the xpa5, the xpa5 goes off...then back on seconds before the xmc1 is done going through the full powering on. Tried different trigger cables. Not thrilled with it..but it was low on my list so I have yet to play with the xmc1 to see if I can correct it.

And personally I would love for it to not be an issue from a low power state rather than an always on higher power state

Call Emotiva, at one point, they were offering special trigger cables that resolved this.
