Hopefulyl this is trickle down tech from the revolutionary yggdrassil DAC into a more affordable DAC. The yggy uses four very expensive DACs coming upto something like $400 parts just for the DAC chips. I can see how they could debut it with half the DACs and still be quite good.
They also hinted at using the yggy idea for an analog to digital conversion unit which I found quite interesting though it doesn't really make any difference for me.
