Yes they do. Very nice. And....... Unlike most Wilson audio speakers, these Sabrina's look really nice also. They just got reviewed in The Absolute Sound and got VERY HIGH praise. It's not available online yet or I would post a link. But the conveyance was that they sound very much like the other much more expensive Wilson's, using many of exact same components, just in a smaller less expensive package. I know I'd love to hear them. www.wilsonaudio.com/product_sabrina.php

Maybe I need to start a new thread for this post, and if so, then mods, forgive me, move it, or I will be happy to move it. So $13000 for these speakers. I always say, for me, I want the components and don't care all that much for the real nice cabinet. But I wonder where "nice Looking" and "built for sound" intermingle, cross, peak, etc. At what point does a cabinet just become a beautiful cabinet and doesn't help with SQ any longer vs. just the opposite. When does a cabinet become so "unworthy, cheap, etc." that it actually does impact SQ but negatively?? Bottom line, I'd rather put my $$ into the components and less into the cabinet but not at the expense of SQ.

I have read several reviews about Salk speakers and they all seem to point out the craftsmanship of the cabinets. I guess when it comes to these speakers you do pay a big premium for the construction of the cabinets.

I just always wonder when I look at speakers, how much would I be paying for cabinets vs. components and when is that extra $$ just going to give me nicer cabinets but not any better SQ.

Looks like coffin boxes on a stand to me. So if you use one for a coffin, that makes the $13K a bit easier to swallow!!

I just commented on their looks, not their price, not their performance. Actually, the servo controlled woofers sound interesting.

I wonder how much more expensive my Magnepan speakers would've potentially be if they had a cabinet....

Looks like coffin boxes on a stand to me. So, would she put you in the left corner, right corner or in the ground?

This is another reason i purchased my Studio 100s, the mix of sound quality and cabinet beauty is worth every penny IMHO! OH! And they continue to sound better and better! Sort of ripening with age, cant emagine how great they'll sound in a couple of years, or at what point they will cease improving.

The song towers are $11,000 cheaper but the cabinets are knock-out beautiful. And they sound as good as they look - well IMO anyway. If you get the chance to hear a pair of song towers or any of the other offerings by Salk Sound do it.

I saw and heard these speakers at the Capitol Audiofest a few weeks back. The fit and finish is stunning and they compared favorably with the rest of the $50K plus super speakers. It was one of my favorite sounding rooms. If I were in the market for a speaker in the price range, they would definitely be on my list. Here's the video review of the room. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4GQV_4LeWI

It was one of my favorite sounding rooms. If I were in the market for a speaker in the price range, they would definitely be on my list. Here's the video review of the room. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4GQV_4LeWII was there also dga and the Salks were very impressive. They also had a pair of speakers in white that were prototypes in un-be-known to me at the time. I asked Jim to demo them and towards the end of the show at 5pm he obliged. The mid-range was smooth and clear with good lower extension. The price tag quoted to me was $3000.00 and there were upgrades. However I was disappointed to learn thru e-mail that the speaker had a lot of work to be done to it before it would be ready for sale. In fact the speaker I was told may never reach the sales floor. Highly disappointed I was. Most of Salk speakers are 4ohms and the fact that there is no area local dealer to listen to them was a factor. Another factor is that my tube amplifiers have 8ohm taps that I did not want to change...and then change back again if I did not like what I heard from Salk. IMHO I don't like to take the chance of shipping speakers back to the company in the event I do not like them and being responsible if they are damage on the way back to Salk Audio or any other company.
