Im looking for great jazz recorded properly on vinyl. Just go to Tidal, endless tracks by all these at 16/44. Bill, I know you like Tidal, but Nick is looking specifically for vinyl.

May be worth a trial, does it give you specific titles and years, kind of like an audition, if its palatable at CD quality then I would dive in for the LP. Thanks, hadnt though of trying this before. Your input sparked the idea! Thanks. never hurts to chime in. Nick

Yes, 25 million tracks, at cd quality for $20 per month. That's about the cost of a download or album.

Your input sparked the idea! Thanks. never hurts to chime in. Nick Nick, Bill introduced me to TIDAL months ago. At first I was reluctant to pay $19.99 per month but the value is HUGE! Not only the availability of millions of songs but also storage, cataloging, bios, and quality sound. You also have ARTIST radio which introduces you to similar musicians in the genre that you have an interest. Lastly, you can also make numerous playlist of your favorite music labeling in your own catagories. Rock, Jazz, Blues...party,causal etc. F

Sorry for taking the thread further off the rails but the combination of Roon and Tidal has expanded my library and knowledge of 50-60's Jazz music to unforeseen levels. If you love music and enjoy learning more about it and the performers who made it, Roon is a must have.

At RMAF last weekend there was a panel with Pål Bråtelund from TIDAL and Bob Stuart from MQA. It seems we will see MQA streaming on Tidal in the near future. Our beloved service will be hi rez on some tracks! MQA decoders are being built into DACs as we speak and there will be software decoders to 24/192 PCM (Roon being one). I also found interesting the comment that Tidal is up to 1M customers and are in this for the long haul. It's a great time to be in this hobby!
