Dude, take the dang plastic off of your display! So I spoke to Damon at Emotiva about my center channel volume fluctuation issue and he suggested changing the Dolby Loudness Management setting to "All Off". It was currently set to "Off". Not sure what the difference between "Off" and "All Off" is but that seems to have done the trick. I haven't noticed the issue since. I still get little pops and clicks when changing audio streams occasionally though. Most recently heard them a couple of days ago when listening to a CD from my PS3, (hooked up via HDMI).

Dude, take the dang plastic off of your display! Hey! The protective film is still on all of my Emotiva gear. At work I've found if left on long enough it leaves residue on the screen when it finally does come off. I always take mine off right away. Cheers Mark

I have looked thru the manual and the set-up menu and cannot for the life of me find the 'Dolby Loudness Management' setting. There is a setting for loudness which enables the FletcherMunson curve, and a Dolby Midnight Mode. Can you please guide me to the 'Dolby Loudness Management' setting.

Seems that there are more bugs just above. Non sticking settings that should stick are real pain as just when you think you have it sorted then a power off and breaks it all again.

I think Emotiva put Loudness Management in there because it is a Dolby requirement. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Dolby requirement to have DRC Off (as opposed to All off) the default setting as well. If that's the case we can at least be thankful we can defeat it albeit temporarily.

I just had a look to see if there was a direct remote code to set DRC - thought I could shortcut it that way - but sadly there doesn't seem to be. @keithl - any prospect of a shortcut IR code?

Ok all, it looks like I need some help with the firmware update on OS X (OS is up to date). I have followed the instructions on how to format a usb drive for the update and I can only get as far as selecting the partition tab mentioned in section 2 of the instructions. For some reason I can not select "partition" it is not highlighted. I have tried two different mac's and 3 different usb drives. Any suggestion?
I ran into a problem with my XMC-1 tonight while attempting to watch Antman. I walked up as movie previews were playing and reached down to turn on my amp and got a little static shock from the metal on the amp. All my sound went out. I turned power off and then back on and the sound came back. But after that I could not get the unit to switch from 2.0 to DTS master 7.1 I tried everything I could think of, but it just stays in 2.0. I Restarted both XMC and my bluray player. I Unplugged power from XMC. I Tried to manually select another sound mode (it was in auto) but there was no option just 2.0 options. Im very confused here, I decided Id try to update to new firmware but of course cant get past step 2 Any help is greatly Appreciated

This might be a bit of a stretch but make sure the USB drive is not write-protected. To be honest my computer skills are nill. How would I do that? I did try 3 different USB drives There's usually a slider on the side of the drive. In one position it is read-only and in another it is write-enabled. Just try copying a file (any file) onto it and if it lets you, then you're good. If not, then look for a slider-switch.

I checked all three and I can write on them all freely.
