After installing 3.1, I no longer get a test tone under Dirac level adjustment. I do get test tones under preset 1 and 2. does anybody else have this issue?

Just make sure to backup your settings first. If this still doesn't restore the test tones, re-install firmware v3.1.

Ever since 3.1 my xmc shuts off while watching tv every so often like the other reports! Wife is not happy, luckily my daughter takes after me and showed her what to do to get the system working again. They need to address this new problem for sure, what a disappointment after a long wait for the release.

If not, do so and report your findings.

Have not tried a factory reset but will do so later today. Also will try reloading the FW. Russ Is it OK to reload the 3.1 FW when the 3.1 FW is already on the XMC-1?

Just reloaded 3.1. Then saved my configuration (again), reset to factory defaults and powered off with the rear switch. Waited a while; turned the unit back on and restored my configuration. NO CHANGE. The XMC still shuts off while watching TV in pass through (wife) mode. Only seems to happen when changing volume.
Again, very frustrating.

I'm watching the Cleveland/Bronco game right now and changing volume in Wife mode with absolutely no problems. I don't get it. Why is this happening to some and not others?

XMC-1 in standby, Off, rewind on my Tivo and a complete shut down! No pass through on xmc, no response at all. Using the remote I power up and xmc reboots from off, after a cpu reboot im watching the game.
That is all to report at this time

Load went ok as far as I can tell, but I'm getting so weird stuff on the front panel when changing volume in ARC mode. Cheers Mark My bad. Somehow zone two got turned on and it was confusing me. I don't have zone two hooked up so it only affected the display which I couldn't read from the couch. All is well, as was 3.0 for me. Cheers Mark

... The XMC still shuts off while watching TV in pass through (wife) mode. Only seems to happen when changing volume. So if you're in passthrough mode and you're changing volume, you're using the TV remote to do that? And changing volume with the TV remote causes the XMC-1 to shut down?
