I am thinking of getting a Sony HAP-Z1ES for my 2 channel system. I am interested in the thoughts of others that have one, its DAC, ease of use, likes / dislikes, etc.

Sony advertised that it will play radio stations via vTuner. It worked for a few days and then stopped working after a firmware update. It seems Sony is no longer supporting vTuner. That would have been a deal breaker for me. I really looked forward to getting a couple of stations via vTuner.
The CD and high rez audio from the HAP-Z1ES was... good, but not extraordinary. It wasn't something that was radically different from other CD players. I was not terribly impressed with the whole DSD thing. It didn't seem to be much of a "game changer".
I was, however, very impressed with the DSEE feature. MP3 files sounded really, really good. I think it only works with files - it didn't look like you can use the DSEE feature with a radio station.
