Stop the presses, I just saw 5 mins ago a vpi Traveler for 799.00 on Soundstage Direct, for this price and it's a Black Friday special it mops the floor with the projects and helps you stay within budget!!!! Do you have a link? Is it the blue Bstock one?

Thanks everyone! It looks very nice, I am going to pass on it as blue simply doesn't match the decor. Silly as it sounds. This TT is Bstock and requires a cartridge add on as well.
Also, I get the RPM3 for $600 with the bluepoint cartridge on my discount at work.
I did read the reviews and the VPI looks absolutely stellar though. Great recommendation.

I'm not into vinyl nor will I likely ever be but two of my close pals are fanatics and tell everyone to start with Rega and spend as much as you can afford.
