Thinking of adding headphones for both music and movies to my UMC-1. Based on my set-up I am looking at wireless and specifically the Sennheiser RS 185. Couple of questions;
1) The inputs available for those headphones are 3.5 headphone jack and Optical. In reading the boards most seem to discuss connecting from the open RCA outs, would the Optical work the same way? Is the quality from going optical better/worse? Is the UMC capable of sending the signal out from the Optical Out for watching movies?
2) If I were to run from RCA to Headphone amp to 3.5 wireless base, would I actually get any uptick from having the amp? Does a headphone amp really provide benefit to wireless headphones?
