If I run a cable it has to be at least 55 ft, any advice on that?

I've seen that one before, too expensive just to use the TV in the kitchen once in a while, I was looking at 55 ft Mediabridge cable for about 1/4 the price, I will think about it.

If I run a cable it has to be at least 55 ft, any advice on that? My brother in law uses an HDMI extender. HDMI goes into box near his gear and cat 5 runs to near his display into another box. Then HDMI goes out of that to his TV. Mark

I found out he had the Binary 200-1cat-hdir with his umc200, and it did great. He switched to a Marantz and it no longer worked, but the same brand's 320-1cat-hdir works fine with it.

You could look at HDBaseT products to go wired long distances. It's not cheap, though. Monoprice sells some which are the cheapest I've seen.
