AVSforum had an article on the new Vizio P-series TVs (2nd gen), with some trickle down features from their Reference series. The new 65" P has a $2000 MSRP, comes with Dolby Vision HDR, with HDR10 promised several months later. Apparently Netflix also announced their Dolbyvision service at the same time ;-) These new suckers come with a 6" Android tablet to do all the control (didn't say if they also had a separate remote), so you can do all the searching and fiddling on the remote tablet and not interrupt anything that's on the screen, and the app operates across multiple source providers. All of the screens except the 55" size are VA panels. I'd have to see one up close and from the side to see how I feel about that. Anyway, it appears things are getting close to nailed on the HDR front. Will be most interested to see what everybody comes out with in their next gen TVs - features and price.
