Has anyone seen that new beast? $3500, 7 channels 300 watts per, it takes 2 power cords, 2 15 amps,to drive it, comparing the specs with the Emotiva amps, can someone please tell me how they would stack up to each other? Yes I know about the listening part, but just looking at the specs, how do they compare?

I have a pair of Outlaw M2200 monoblock amps and they do pretty well, although the cosmetics are blah. I would expect that monster to produce very nicely. Personally I would scoop up the new in box Sherbourn 7-350 on Ebay for less than half of that.

Tim I thought about the M2200 two years ago, but opted for the XPA200, it sounded beautiful, but now it's doing height channels duties since I got the XPA7, I was inquiring about the Outlaw because of something I thought of someone doing which is using 2 cords to power an amp, it must be awesome, and it's brand new!

My XPA-5 (and the XPA-2 and XPA-3 combo before it) sits in a rack on casters, so I really don't care how much it weighs. Once it's in place I can simply wheel it around for cabling etc.
Cheers Gary

Yes I know about the listening part, but just looking at the specs, how do they compare? I've never listened to Outlaw amps but I do like how that model is fully balanced. For Emotiva, only the monoblocks are fully balanced. Obviously my 2 XPR amps aren't fully balanced but they were roughly the same price as the Outlaw 7 channel amp. 600 watts X 2 and 400 watts X 7. At the end of the day, Emotiva almost always is just the best value but sometimes it's not always about value or money.
