Hi everybody, where exactly do I place them? Bass traps specifically in corners. Acoustic panels than can act as bass traps first reflection points of the speakers

Well, in my case i have all 4 corners covered with basstraps and my sub is on my back left side, not in a corner. Did you do any mesurements? Actually the point of the bass traps is not make the sub stronger but smoother and more controlled

Start by finding the best location to place the sub. The corners are always a good place to start because that's where the acoustic amplification is the highest so if it works for you in a corner, you will get free extra decibels, but unfortunately it doesn't work for most rooms due to it generating, as a bad sacrifice, too severe peaks and nulls in the bass response. The purpose of installing bass traps is to reduce these peaks and nulls, paying the most attention to peaks and nulls that matter the most audibly, and also to reduce long reverberation times that, due to modal ringing, occur at certain bass frequencies. However, placing the sub in the right spot is equally important to be able to maximize on filling in this strategy. That said, arqen.com/bass-traps-101/placement-guide
