Hey there, I'm a happy owner of the XMC-1 for quite some time now (was on one of the first pre-order waves back then) and besides various issues which could be fixed over time with firmware updates, I've been really happy till now. But today our breaker went off, and when I switched everything back on, my XMC-1 froze when the loading bar on the front display went all the way to the right. By playing around with the power button I found some kind of factory menu where I could run various tests, one of which was the loopback test. That loopback test then told me that the ECC and CEC loopback tests both failed Now my questions, which I hope someone might be able to help me with: Anyone know of a way to work around this? As far as I get it, ECC probably refers to the onboard flash, which I'd be fine with just zero-ing out, if it's just corrupt data. And for CEC - I've never used it or plan to do so. If that's not possible - anyone got experience with sending in "broken" units from international orders? I live in Austria / Europe, and there's not even an international dealer listed for any of the neighbouring countries, so I'd be happy with just getting my unit back over to the US and fixed (would also be interesting to know how much that could cost me). I'd also be happy to get an upgraded board in the process if that's possible. Thankful for any help! Cheers

I have read of a couple of people who have had the ecc board replaced . You will have to call Emotiva and see if it has to be returned or not. The shipping is going to be a killer unless they have someone in Europe that can make the repair.

I had that exact problem and needed to have the ECC board replaced.

Interestingly the issue resolved itself after leaving the unit turned off for 2 days. Was able to turn it on again normally after that.
Already the 2nd time I've had this issue after a breaker tripping, though the first time around it was after leaving the unit off for about an hour that I could turn it on successfully again.
Really strange.
I hope my unit will at least last till the next upgrade board comes out in 2017 so I can send it in for repair and upgrade all at once.
International shipping to austria will be about 500$ in total, forth and back, and will probably take a few weeks for the whole roundtrip, so I'm really anxious for anything happening :/
Thanks a lot for all your input on this!
