I have not been to this site for a little while and noticed a new firmware for the XMC-1.
I see it is for the new boards but it is mentioned it can be used on the original XMC-1. I did a quick look around on the forum and do not see it mentioned or I have missed it.
Has anyone upgraded their original XMC-1 to v4.0?

Yes my unit from Oct. 2014
Notable improvement on specific things that I noticed and one problem that I had brought up (on screen transparency) that was corrected with 4.0.

It's required for the new HDMI board but according to Emotiva strictly optional for XMC's with the original HDMI board.

Yeah, they added this new feature called "search." Works great for finding things. Oh, whoops, that's a forum feature that has been around forever.

Yeah, about that forum search feature, maybe you can school me on how to find out what the "minor bug fixes" described in the documentation on the firmware release covers.
It would be nice to know what, for an XMC-1 with no hardware upgrades, the benefits would be.
