Thanks to everyone for your positive comments. Yes, I'm very pleased with the Sound & Vision review. I spent the most time on the T1 speakers out of the entire new line (with the C1 just behind) and it's nice to be rewarded with very positive comments in Dan Kumin's review. We're all very proud here of the Airmotiv speakers and the level of performance they make available at a very attractive price.

Are you going to go bigger and will there be a big center ?

They really are a spectacular product. I demoed my 5 channel setup to a neighbour a couple of weeks ago, and was asked to go visit yesterday to help him set up his new Emotiva T1 5-channel speakers. They sound amazing in his house too ! :-).

My current main speakers are 14 inches from the wall. This was an issue in the review and I also have furniture on both sides of the mains. A rear port does require some space. My thinking is it would be better if just the mains and center speakers are either front ported or sealed. I am talking about speakers that would be used in a system with a flat screen near a wall such as the Airmotiv's are.
Not all systems will be effected. It can be easy to give them enough space. There is a great 30 day return policy.

There is a great 30 day return policy. That is the reason the original Emotiva Reference line had the boundary compensation switch. My ERM-1's are too close and the comp switch works exactly as designed.

Gentlemen, Keep in mind that the bass character of a speaker is the characteristic most influenced by the room size/shape, and the placement of loudspeakers within the room. Also, different listeners have different tastes when it comes to bass quality and quantity. In our room, the Airmotiv T1 speakers exhibit very well-controlled low frequency output even when placed only about 2 feet from the back wall. I spent some time improving the damping and optimization of the T1 speaker's bass range, including a redesigned woofer along the way. So the reviewer's conclusion about the bass character was perplexing to me. Perhaps in his room, particularly if it is a small one or if near-wall placement was specifically desired, plugging the ports would have been more optimal, and port-plugging remains a viable way to control bass character in lieu of receiver or processor driven room correction when boundary effects are at play. To make a good port plug, the best material is open-cell foam. You can cut one of these in half, roll it up, and stick that into the port opening: Parts Express 260-526

Well I have owned and used many speakers over my lifetime and bought my T1s 6 or 8 months back stricktley for analog music listening running them bi-amped and giving them plenty of power and all I can say is wow they have impressed me from day one and even to this day they seem to be getting better with use and I'm sure they have well over 300 hours of use and I'm shooting for the T2s for Xmas I own many products from emotiva and have had no issues with a single one great product great price great company would love to see some with 10 inch woofers or even 12s in the future
