Does anyone else have a problem running the Netflix app on Xfinity with the XMC-1? Some shows that are not in 5.1 (Netflix does not mention the format) seem to have an issue being decoded or something. My junk TV in the bedroom does OK, but the XMC does not.
Most of the shows that do not have sound for me are stand up. Jim Gaffigan:Mr. Universe is an example. No Sound. Kung Fury is the only non-stand up I have a problem with, but also no sound.
Am I missing something in setup? I tried cycling between Auto, Stereo, Reference Stereo, etc. but no luck.

In the set up of the box it is set to stereo as the default, change it to 5.1 then you'll be fine

Yes, I found that parameter when I first got the box. I have it already set to 5.1 Auto Detect.
Maybe I will try putting it to stereo PCM for these programs.
Seems like a hassle.

Then change the "5.1 Mode" to "Surround" and the "2.0 Mode" to "PLIIx Movie". If you prefer a more front focused soundstage, set the "2.0 Mode" to "PLIIx Music". "Auto Detect" is not your optimal choice if the input data stream is not correctly flagged. This will fix your issue "one and done".

OK, this did not work, but it gave me an idea.
I needed to manually change the output of the Xfinity box from Auto Detect (Dolby Digital 5.1) to Stereo PCM.
What a PITA. So it appears that the Comcast box does not pass stereo signals correctly from the Netflix App unless the box is selected to Stereo PCM in Device Settings.
Too bad I moved my PS4 to the other room. I have little doubt that a complaint to Comcast will do nothing.
