I'm about to install an Infinite Baffle Subwoofer in my system. All the reading I have done on the subject leads me with the expectation that significant EQ will be needed to rein in the response.
My question is this:
Will Dirac Full have enough range and/or fidelity to tame the sub response alone?
I would like to minimize the amount of signal processing, keeping it as simple as possible. If the Dirac isn't enough, I plan on using REW/miniDSP along with OpenDRC-AN to get a reasonably flat sub response, and then following up with a round of Dirac. The Mini DSP would manipulate the analog signal from balanced XLR analog out of the XMC, and pass it along to the balanced inputs of my Wyred for Sound amp.
This sounds complicated when I type it out, I just want some feedback on what to expect so I can prepare for the change.
Does anyone have experience they can share?
